Healing and Hope for Parents in the NICU

Every Ounce of Love Inc., we know that every birth story is deeply personal. But when your baby arrives earlier than expected, the joy and anticipation of parenthood can be quickly replaced with fear, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion. The sterile walls of the NICU, the sound of monitors, the constant flow of medical updates it’s a world no parent expects to enter. And in those first fragile days, many parents feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of where to turn for support.

You are not alone.

We’re here to walk with you offering emotional support, therapy, and care packages filled with comfort and compassion.

Who We Are

Our mission is to provide a community of emotional support, and address the mental health needs of parents navigating preterm birth. We partner with local hospital and community organizations, to provide a network of support for parents and their family during the infant's hospitalization in a neonatal intensive care unit.

Why Mental Health Support Matters in the NICU Journey

Mental health support in the NICU is essential. While babies receive the best medical care, parents often struggle with grief, anxiety, and trauma. Without support, these challenges can affect bonding, family stability, and even infant development. Providing trauma-informed resources and compassionate outreach helps parents feel seen, manage their emotions, and protect their mental health—so both babies and families can thrive.

What We Do

Our nonprofit offers more than just words of encouragement—we deliver tangible, thoughtful support:

Care Packages for NICU Parents:  Each EOL Care Package is thoughtfully designed to bring comfort, relief, and the reminder that no parent is alone on this journey. Inside, you’ll find practical essentials—like snacks, journal, soothing lip balm, lotion, socks, and our Signature EOL Mug—paired with meaningful items that nurture the heart, such as affirmation cards and letters from fellow NICU parents who truly understand.

Mental Health Support: Naomi, along with our team of licensed mental health professionals—many with personal lived experiences—provides compassionate, personalized care through individual therapy sessions and support groups, offered both in-person and virtually. We also connect families to trusted local resources for additional support when needed. Whether at the bedside, in the waiting room, or at home processing the NICU journey, we meet parents exactly where they are.

Community and Connection: We provide a safe and welcoming space for NICU parents to share their stories, seek support, and build relationships with others who truly understand the journey. Through peer support, online content, and educational resources, we work to break the stigma around mental health and normalize asking for help—not only for mothers, but for fathers as well. Because we know a preterm birth affects the entire family, our goal is to ensure no parent has to walk this path alone.

A Message from Naomi

“When my baby was born prematurely, I entered a world I never expected—a world filled with beeping monitors, sleepless nights, and constant uncertainty. As a first time parent nothing could prepare me for the emotional weight of watching my child fight for life. I created this nonprofit because I knew I wasn’t alone, and I wanted to make sure other parents wouldn’t have to walk this road without support. This work is deeply personal to me. It’s not just what I do it’s who I am.”
